Kisoro Travellers Rest Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in Uganda. The lodge boasts of on an impressive list of guests including Dian Fossey, the lady featured in the movie “Gorillas in the Mist” who even called this hotel her second home!
The hotel is located outside Kisoro and offers a quiet setting with an amazing view on the Virunga volcanoes. In the evening our lounge with its big fireplace is the perfect spot to wind down from a day filled with experiences.

Travellers Rest consists of 11 en suite rooms, tastefully decorated with a unique selection of Congo art. The spacious rooms overlook a well groomed courtyard and have the magical Virunga volcanoes as a backdrop.

The hotel has 11 rooms, each with a private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. The rooms surround a pleasant courtyard and all have a sitting area outside the room.
